Sports Legends

Detroit Lions Legends Eddie Murray with now the Hope Network and Lomas Brown now the analyst for the Detroit Lions come out to the Meridian Mall to help the XDAF talk people into sensory friendly beds and the importance of mental health during a critical pandemic. Both joined LAUNCH trampoline park to play football catch with children and younger adults in a sensory friendly interaction as the XDAF raised funds to continue its mission not only raise awareness but also acceptance. During this event Coach Mark Dantonio a longtime mentor to CEO Xavier DeGroat was awarded for his services in the community.

ZapZone Fundraiser

XDAF was raising awareness for sensorily friendly environment with dim lighting and sound at ZAP ZONE during Autism Awareness Month to help families with autism.

Policing Autism

During the COVID-19 Pandemic Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer Signed 2 laws that benefit people with a communication imprsdiement such as autism to train police as any individual on the spectrum may now voluntarily register at the Secretary of States office to have there License Plates most uniquely to disclose their diagnoses into the Vehicle Registration that only allow access to the Law Enforcement Officer to properly pull an individual with autism over.

President Xavier DeGroat was honored to appear live on HUCKABEE TV made part of the Trinity Broadcasting Network to talk about his experience during April (Word Autism Awareness Month) as the 1st White House Autistic Intern that made history.

XDAF Barnes and Noble Book Reading (1) -

Books for Autism

XDAF was proud to be partner with Barnes and Noble to celebrate April as Autism Awareness Month! Xavier performed a special reading from Dr. Temple Grandin's "The Way I See It" on April 13th at the Lansing Mall! A portion of the proceeds from books purchased during this event went to support the Xavier DeGroat Autism Foundation!

Policing Autism

Xavier DeGroat worked with local lawmakers and law enforcement to explain how those with autism need to be treated differently by law enforcement officers and others with positions of authority.

Our Inaugural Picnic

On June 8th, 2018 the Xavier DeGroat Autism Foundation was joined by friends and family to celebrate the kickoff of the Foundation!


We heard from all of the Board Members, as well as Xavier himself, to tell the community about Xavier's journey so far, the mission of the foundation, and what is in store for the next few years.

Spartan Sports Support X.D.A.F.

On October 25th, 2018 the Xavier DeGroat Autism Foundation hosted its first ever fundraising event at MSU's Breslin Center!

MSU Coaches Mark Dantonio and Tom Izzo, as well as Lt. Governor Brian Calley, spoke of Xavier's persistence and reaffirmed that autism reform is something that is important to our society and has to be a priority to decision-makers.
